All sales are final
Every piece here is one of one, and every sale of one is final. That is a real limit, so this page says plainly what it means and what we do beforehand so that it is never a surprise.

The short version
We do not accept returns, we do not offer exchanges, and we do not refund. Once a piece is yours it is yours. This applies to every piece on the site, for any reason.
Why a small shop can say that
These are handloom pieces, dyed and woven in small runs, and most of them are the only one. A saree that goes out and comes back cannot be sold as new, and there is rarely a second one to sell in its place. A slub in the weave, a dye lot a shade off the last one, a border that is not perfectly even along its length: none of these are faults. They are what tells you the cloth was made on a loom by a person.
What we do instead, and it is the important part
Because nothing comes back, everything happens before. Ask and we will show you the actual piece on a video call, in daylight, at whatever magnification you like, and say plainly what you are looking at, including anything we would want to know if we were buying it. We will measure it for you. We will tell you how it falls.
We would much rather talk you out of a piece than sell you one you did not want, because we only have the one and you only get the one chance.
Tell us anyway if it arrives badly
If a parcel reaches you damaged, send us photographs of the piece and of the packaging as it arrived, within 48 hours. We cannot take the piece back, but the courier is answerable for what it does in transit and we will take it up with them on your behalf. We would also simply rather know.
Pieces kept aside for you
A piece we hold for you after a call is not sold until you say so, and holding one costs nothing. If you decide against it, tell us and it goes back on the rail. Nothing has been taken and nothing is owed. This is the moment to change your mind, and it is free.
Duty and customs
Charged by your country, not by us, and paid by you on delivery. We cannot reduce, reclaim or absorb them.
Talk to us first
Every line above is easier before a purchase than after one. Message us on WhatsApp or write to us, and ask us anything about a piece while it is still a question rather than a parcel.
