What this site does not do

There is one measurement script here and it is the plainest one there is: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts how many people opened a page and roughly where in the world they were. It sets no cookie, it does not fingerprint your device, and it cannot follow you to any other site, so it can tell us that forty people looked at a saree and never which forty.

Beyond that, nothing. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no tag manager, no session recorder, no social widget. Nobody is building a profile of you here, because there is nothing here doing the building.

What is stored in your browser

• Your currency: a cookie remembering whether you asked to see prices in rupees, dollars or something else, so you are not re-asked on every page. It holds one word.
• Your enquiry list: the pieces you have set aside while browsing, kept in your own browser’s storage. It never reaches us unless you send it.

Both are readable and deletable by you, from your browser’s settings, at any time. Neither is shared with anyone.

What you give us on purpose

• An enquiry. Choosing pieces and pressing send opens WhatsApp with a message already written. Nothing is sent until you send it, and once you do, that conversation lives in WhatsApp under their terms as well as ours.
• A waitlist email. If you ask to be told when the shop opens, we keep your email address and the date you gave it, so we can write to you once. Ask us to remove it and it is removed.
• A booking. Booking a video appointment means telling us a name and some times that suit you, over WhatsApp.

Pieces kept aside

When we set pieces aside after a call we make a private page for them at an unguessable address, holding your first name and a note written for you. Anyone with the link can open it, so treat it as you would a photograph sent to your phone. Tell us and we retire it.

Payment

No payment is taken on this site. There is no checkout here and no card details are ever typed into it. Depending on where you are, payment is arranged directly by bank transfer or UPI, or through a payment link sent to you, in which case your card details go to that provider, and never to us.

Where it all lives

The site and its database run on Cloudflare’s network, with data held in their Asia-Pacific region. Photographs and audio are stored in the same account. We do not sell, rent or share any of it.

Asking us to delete something

Write to watermelonwoven@gmail.com and say what you would like removed. We will do it and tell you when it is done. You do not need to give a reason.
